West Park

Updated: 05/14/2020

At West Park Apartments, the health and safety of our residents, team members, and communities is very important to us.

We are closely monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and other government entities to inform operational decisions that safeguard the well-being of our residents and team members.  It remains our goal to stay vigilant and focus on creating the safest possible environment at West Park Apartments.  We remind all residents, employees and family members that it is important to “stay the course” and continue to follow all guidance from the CDC, local, state and federal officials.

We are working in phases to reopen our communities by following the state’s re-opening guidelines. We ask that everyone work together through this challenging time.  It is everyone’s responsibility to help stop the spread of this virus and we believe the steps outlined below will help.

At this time, we have implemented numerous initiatives at our property,  including but not limited to:

  • Pre-screen employees by taking their temperature and assessing symptoms prior to start of work; a log will be created and monitored by management and HR.

  • Temporarily closing amenities such as the fitness center, clubhouse and pool to reduce the risk of exposure and promote social distancing

  • Enhancing our already rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols in all common areas

  • Limiting access to our leasing and staff offices and communicating by phone, Active Builder and email whenever possible

  • Promoting responsible personal hygiene practices by placing posters in common areas including proper hand washing and covering coughs or sneezes

These measures are fluid and can change as the progression of the virus and information is updated.

Virtual Tours - Prospective Tenants

We are putting an emphasis on virtual tours in support of social distancing to help keep our community, our team, and our prospective tenants safe.  Prospective tenants can virtually tour the property, floor plans, applied for, and lease from the comfort of your own home. If you would like to schedule a tour or have specific questions for our leasing team, please feel free to reach us directly at www.westparksanjose.com .

Maintenance Guidance - Essential Work Orders

Until further notice, we are temporarily deferring non-emergency maintenance requests in order to limit in-person contact and allow us to focus on urgent matters. Emergency requests can be conveniently submitted through the Resident Portal - ActiveBuilding.

Emergency requests include issues related to:

  • Life safety

  • Security

  • Heating and air conditioning

  • Appliances not working

  • Important lighting and outlets

  • Clogs, leaks, water supply or temperature

  • Pest control

If you’re interested in handling simple, non-emergency tasks on your own, please let us know. We can help you remotely and deliver any supplies you may need to complete the task (eg. plunger, zip-it hair removal drain tool, light bulbs).

Please remember:

  • Don’t overfill your refrigerator or freezer. Refrigerators and freezers will shut down if they’re over packed and don’t have proper air circulation.

  • Don’t flush paper towels or wipes down the toilet. You’ll clog the toilet. Please have a plunger handy in case of clogs.

  • Proper garbage disposalPlease separate recycling material from garbage where recycling options are provided. Make sure garbage bags are tightly sealed. If recycling material is too large for the recycling bin, please bring it to the main dumpster.

Let us know about self-quarantine situations

If you are diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and for those who are self-quarantining, it is important to inform the leasing office in an effective and timely manner to ensure that appropriate safety measures are put in place.  To this end, the leasing office  is committed to providing additional updates as further information is made available.
